Be Safe on the Road!
Now it can be told since we’ve already recovered from this tragedy. This also serves as a public call to the Philippine President Noynoy Aquino to have exclusive lanes for motorcycles specially in main Metro Manila roads…

Aboard my red Toyota Vios S, I’m sitting in the front passenger seat with my brother-in-law driving. Both our wives are at the back seats taking a nap.
Coming from a restaurant in Rosario area, along C. Raymundo Avenue going south, a Yamaha motorcycle with two men coming from Pag-asa street intersection and turning right straight through the fast lane/second lane, hit our right side bumper.

The driver, not wearing a helmet, dropped on my car’s windshield as my car hits their motorcycle.

My car’s airbags popped out, fumes and white smokes came from my air condition, and the car’s horn continuously blows.

My brother-in-law quickly gets out of the car checking on the two passengers of the motorcycle.
They are still moving and breathing.
I was shocked at what happened thinking somebody just died.
We quickly checked on our wives at the back of the car.
My wife is asking what just happened, she was already crying.
My sister-in-law was in a state of shock, not moving.
Baranggay officials came first then traffic enforcers then the rescue team.
To all my readers, please always be safe on the road. But still… sometimes, even if we are driving safely, other road users are not so responsible. Always pray.
