Making Money Without A Website Of Your Own
I’m sure that when you hear people make money online, it involves something through their website. For example, affiliate marketing, AdSense revenue, selling advertisement space, or through their e-mail list which are also leads that are gained from opt-in forms on their websites.
It has come to a point that when we talk about making money online, we automatically assume that in order for that to happen it is necessary to have own a website.
But that is not necessarily true. It is just a norm. And just because it is a norm, doesn’t mean it defines the whole picture.
The truth is, having your own website is just one OPTION for you to make money online, because you can still make good money regardless whether or not, you have a website. With that said, it is certainly good news for people who would like to make money online but don’t have their own website.
However, this is also good news for people who do. Because this is another business strategy which can be added to your list of online income streams which don’t involve your website.
This method of making money online has been around for some time now, but a recent trend in technology has contributed to the rise and it’s because of technology itself, which is why this method is growing in popularity and profitability.
So what is this method that I am talking about?
Selling An E-BOOK.
The prospect of selling E-books are hotter than ever, and the time to actually delve into this method of making money online has never been better. Thanks to the popularity of e-book readers like Kindle, Tablet PCs, mobile phones and all these other mobile devices that allow you to take your favorite reading material with you wherever you go. The idea of being able to read it at any time and at anywhere is certainly an enticing one.
Material
But before you can start selling your E-book, you have to come up with something to write about in your e-book, so what would you write about?
Well, just because it’s an E-book, it doesn’t have to be technologically related material. All you have to do is write about something that you are passionate about and something that you have extensive knowledge in.
In short, write something that you are good in. Sharing expertise and experience makes for good reading material for people who are always thirsting for knowledge especially in the subject that you are writing about.
Take for example, are you good in cars? What are the common problems? Teach them what and how to identify problems and how they can fix it themselves.
Or
Are you good in gardening? Got good tips on how to grow a certain flower? Or how to have a great looking lawn all year-long?
Or are you into short stories? Or you love to write children books but never had the courage to take it to another level? Well, this is the perfect place to start and test the waters. The beauty of writing your own e-books is that you do not need high initial investment. In fact, if you have a word processor installed on the very computer you are reading this article on, you can start right away!
What Comes Next…
When you are composing your e-book, remember to arrange it in a format that is similar to other e-books. Meaning it has to contain table-of-contents, chapters, page numbers, and such. When that is done, you can hire people to proofread or edit your work to further polish it and finally making it ready for the next step.
You need a cover to go with your E-book now you can either do it yourself or you can hire someone to design a professional looking cover for a mere $10 or less even. Try to ensure that the cover is interesting and eye-catching enough to entice people.
Next step is to convert your e-book to a format which is widely accepted by e-book readers. This is usually the PDF format. Not to worry as current word processors usually have this option and even if they don’t have it, there are plenty of free tools available on the internet that can help you do so.
Getting It Out There
What comes next is self-publishing it. The best places to do this are Google E-books service and Amazon’s Kindle Store. It will require some time for your e-book to undergo a review process before it can be accepted into their network and be sold online. Of course they benefit from this by taking a small cut from your e-book sale.
The next thing to do here is to promote it. You can either inform your friends through e-mail or your social media page like Facebook or Twitter.
The trick here is not to just ride on a single e-book your entire life. There is no limit to how many e-books you are allowed to create so why stop at one? There must be other areas of expertise that you are really good at and therefore you can continue to create new e-books which tackle different subjects or problems.
So start churning out e-books because any e-book that you publish can be a potential best-seller which will really bring in serious profits.
